Ways To Give
Support National DIY Skatepark
National DIY Skatepark is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and every donation is tax-deductible. We rely entirely on the generosity of our community to keep Milwaukee's free skatepark growing, maintained, and accessible to all. Below you'll find our specific program funds. Each one supports a different part of what makes National DIY possible. Choose the program that speaks to you, or give to more than one. Every dollar goes directly to the work.
Your support funds real materials, real labor, and real impact in Milwaukee's Walkers Point neighborhood. Whether it's fresh concrete for a new obstacle, supplies to keep the park clean and lit, or a scholarship that changes a young person's life, your contribution makes it happen.
Skatepark Improvement Program
The Skatepark Improvements Program funds the design and construction of new skateboarding terrain at National DIY. Every feature in the park was built by volunteers and contractors using materials purchased through community donations and grants. There's always something to improve at a DIY and this fund keeps the momentum going.
Donations to the Skatepark Improvements Program go directly toward concrete, rebar, cinder block, lumber, and the specialized tools needed to build skateable infrastructure. As Milwaukee's only volunteer-built skatepark, National DIY depends on this fund to continue expanding the park and delivering new obstacles that serve skaters of all skill levels.
Beautification, Utilities, and Maintenance Program
A great skatepark is about more than just the terrain, it's about maintaining a space that the community can be proud of. The Beautification, Utilities, and Maintenance Program covers the essential, ongoing costs of keeping National DIY safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone who visits.
This fund supports trash removal, lighting, landscaping, surface repairs, graffiti management, tool replacement, and seasonal upkeep. It also covers utility-related expenses that keep the park functional year-round. These are the behind-the-scenes costs that don't always get the spotlight, but without them the park simply wouldn't work. Your donations to this program ensure that National DIY remains a well-kept community landmark in Milwaukee's Walkers Point neighborhood.
National DIY's Elevating Scholarship and Community Transformation Program
National DIY's Elevating Scholarship and Community Transformation Program represents the next chapter in our mission. This program extends our impact beyond the skatepark and into the lives of young people across Milwaukee by providing scholarship opportunities and supporting community transformation initiatives.
The Elevating Scholarship and Community Transformation Program is built on the belief that the same values that drive a DIY skatepark like hard work, creativity, collaboration, and showing up for your community, are the same values that help young people succeed in education and in life. Donations to this fund support scholarships and grants for skaters to empower Milwaukee's youth to reach their full potential, both on and off the board.
