About National DIY Skatepark

DIY skateparks are a proud tradition in skateboarding culture. Rather than waiting for city funding or corporate sponsorship, local skaters take matters into their own hands, pouring concrete, building ramps, and creating the kind of terrain that actually serves the people who ride it. National DIY Skatepark carries on that tradition right here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into one of the most beloved free skateparks in the region. Volunteer at National DIY Skatepark

The heart of National DIY is its volunteers. Build days are how the park gets built, maintained, and improved and anyone can join. No experience is necessary. Whether you can mix concrete, carry materials, or just show up with enthusiasm, your time makes a direct difference. Volunteering at a Milwaukee DIY skatepark is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the local skating and outdoor recreation community. Follow our updates for upcoming build days and community events.
